Pelosi Attempts to Divert the Swalwell Scandal by Blaming Kevin McCarthy, “QAnon Delegations”

In Thursday’s press briefing from the Capitol Hill, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi tried to distract from colleague Congressman Eric Swalwell’s scandal and started blaming Republican Representative Kevin McCarthy and QAnon instead.

Earlier this week, news about Swalwell’s intimate relationship with a Chinese spy broke out. It was reported that Christine Fang slept with the California congressman and other Democratic politicians, even the spy donating to their campaign.

“I don’t have any concern about Mr. Swalwell,” Pelosi said.

“What [Mr. McCarthy’s] trying to do is trying to deflect attention from the fact that he has QAnon in his delegation over there. And that I think is a danger, too, in terms of our debate here about, you know what the possibilities are for undue influence to members of Congress,” she continued.

Pelosi claimed Republicans knew about Swalwell’s relationship, but a New York Post article proves she’s lying:

House Intelligence Committee Republicans were surprised to learn this week that a member of their panel, Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell, was targeted by a suspected Chinese spy who slept with US politicians as a tactic to elicit information.

Swalwell, who represents a California district south of Oakland, received an FBI “defensive briefing” in 2015 on operative Fang Fang, but most if not all Republicans on the elite committee weren’t told that a colleague had been targeted by China. …

A congressional Republican source told The Post that Intelligence Committee Republicans had not been informed of the relationship.
